Ken Manning Elected Chair of PBA Board of Directors

BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority (PBA) today announced the election of Kenneth A. Manning as Chair of its board of directors and Tim Clutterbuck as Vice-Chair.

Kenneth A. Manning was elected Chair of the PBA board of directors. Manning was first appointed to the Board by Governor Andrew Cuomo in June 2016. Manning is a partner at Phillips Lytle LLP, where he has experience in corporate and commercial litigation. He also concentrates his practice in the area of education law and leads Phillips Lytle’s Education Practice Team. He is the past recipient of the University at Buffalo School of Law’s distinguished alumni award and various other pro bono community service awards from the New York State Bar Association. He has been ranked a “Top-50 Upstate New York Super Lawyer” and also serves on the Roswell Park Cancer Institute board of directors, the University at Buffalo School of Law Dean’s Advisory Council, and the Daemen College Community Advisory Board.

2017 Traffic Statistics Issued by the Bridge and Tunnel Operators Association (BTOA)

BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – Today the Bridge and Tunnel Operators Association (BTOA) released border crossing numbers for the year 2017 between the Province of Ontario and the States of Michigan and New York.

In 2017, compared to 2016, overall car crossings increased by 0.86%. Truck crossings declined by 0.42%. Combined there were 33,821,643 car truck and bus crossings, an increase of 0.47% or 158,500 vehicles.

Regional Transportation and Tourism Entities Are Ready for Upcoming IIHF World Junior Championship Tournament

Collaboration underway to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and fans at all four international bridge crossings during 11-day tournament in Buffalo, NY

BUFFALO, NY/NIAGARA FALLS, ON – Today various regional transportation, tourism and security organizations announced the coordination of border traffic management planning for the upcoming International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Junior Championship tournament, being held in Buffalo, NY, from Dec. 26, 2017 – Jan. 5, 2018. Participants in the planning effort include the Peace Bridge Authority, Niagara Falls Bridge Commission, Pegula Sports and Entertainment, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Canada Border Services Agency, Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition, Ontario Motor Coach Association, Visit Buffalo Niagara and various U.S. and Canadian elected officials.

Peace Bridge Shines Bright for the Buffalo Bills as Team Heads to Jacksonville for Playoff Game
 Iconic bridge to be illuminated in red, white and blue for the January 7th game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars

BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority will light the Peace Bridge in red, white and blue in support of the Buffalo Bills’ first NFL postseason appearance since 1999. The Peace Bridge will be illuminated the evenings of Friday Saturday, and Sunday (January 5-7).

“Fans throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario have waited for this exciting moment for a very long time” said Chairman Tim Clutterbuck.  “We’re thrilled to do our part in supporting the Bills, and can’t wait to cheer them on in the playoffs on Sunday. Go Bills!”

For specialty lighting occasions, the Peace Bridge is illuminated along the bridge arches, truss, and spine, and can include intermittent color animation. Light shows commence at dusk and continue until 1:00 a.m. (EST).
