Peace Bridge History
Constructed as a memorial to a century of peace following the War of 1812, the Peace Bridge has stood for generations as a lasting symbol of friendship, cooperation, and enduring peace. Today, it serves not only as a vital transportation corridor but also as a link connecting people, communities, and nations across the longest undefended international border in the world.
2027 will mark 100 years since the historic opening and dedication of the Peace Bridge.

nations, a concrete and steel expression of humanity’s wanderlust and desire for freedom from the constraints imposed by geography.
